Washing
- Turn the garment inside out to reduce friction on the embroidery.
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle or hand wash for delicate items.
- Use mild detergent.
- Avoid bleach or strong stain removers around the embroidery thread.
Drying
- Air drying is strongly recommended for embroidered items.
- If using a dryer, choose low heat and avoid over-drying.
- High heat can shrink the garment and stress the embroidery stitches.
Ironing
- If ironing is needed, iron on the reverse side of the embroidery.
- Place a clean cloth or pressing cloth over the design.
- Avoid direct heat on threads to prevent melting or distortion.
Additional Notes
- Do not wring out heavy embroidered garments; press water out gently.
- For hats or structured items, spot clean instead of machine washing.
- Embroidery threads are durable but can snag; avoid sharp surfaces.
